We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you join the launch list or create an account. In the app, we may collect your username, saved venues, feedback, venue edit suggestions, and live vibe reports such as crowd level, line status, music, energy, and optional comments.
If you allow location access, VibeChecked uses your location to show nearby venues and confirm whether a live report is being submitted near a venue. We store only the report verification result and approximate distance needed for app functionality, not a continuous location history.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is stored in Firebase. We use it to operate VibeChecked, manage accounts, show venue information, publish live reports, review feedback or edit suggestions, improve the app, and contact you with launch updates if you opt in. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Email Consent and Opt-Out
When you sign up, you can choose whether to receive VibeChecked updates and launch alerts. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe instructions in an email or by contacting us directly.
4. Data Security and Protection
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We use Firebase services for authentication, database storage, and app functionality.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the app, maintain safety, respond to reports, or meet legal requirements. You can delete your account in the app, and you can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information.

7. User Content and Moderation
Live reports, comments, feedback, and venue edit suggestions may be reviewed for safety, accuracy, abuse prevention, and moderation. Users can report live updates in the app, and VibeChecked may remove content or restrict accounts that violate our rules.
